Youth Band Nights are held during school holidays. Its a concert for local bands with young performers. Support comes from older musicians and in a tight club venue with a small sound system and shared drum kit makes for a great experience.
For the Bands it has been a chance to try out sounds and songs to a group of peers, other musicians, and mates. The extra pressure of performance to an audience lifts your game, and other misicans can give feedback you can use.
For family and friends it is a chance to see your mates play, and check out other local bands too. Some of the local bands came though here on their way to greater things and Eastern States tours.
Its an alcohol and drug free event, and there is no admission charge. There are soft drinks and usually a sausage sizzle, there are earplugs to save your hearing getting wrecked, and the friendly club atmosphere is well known. Town Square Community Hall on Barber Street Kalamunda Saturday night. Look for posters.
Bands wanting to perform should contact Declan before the middle of March on 0422 689 143 or by email
