Never been to a Bush Dance? You should try it! Bush Dances have been an Australian celebration since - well ages - ! Zig Zag Community Arts has brought the Bush Dance back with all of its tradition - and they keep doing it in Kalamunda. All the traditional Aussie Bush Dance features will be there: with dance callers and dance demonstrators to guide you through the dances - a real family evening. There will be lots of well-known Aussie tunes, and maybe a few new surprises! And there's a countdown (to midnight in Sydney!) at 9pm Enjoy a family night out! Have a great night out with the family and get the kids home at a civilised hour. Zig Zag has organised these dances every year since 2008, and every year the crowd says they'd like to have more of them. The bands know all the classic Bush Band tunes; the callers keep it simple so everyone can follow the dance steps. The BLACK CHOOKS are the big local folk band started as a project by Zig Zag Community Arts, who continue to support fundraisers and other local arts.
